Buffalo Valley Boat Ramp
Date 6/25/2016We had ten folks show up for the event. Only four of us fished afterward at the Rest Area. Fishing was very slow.
Here is the information we collected Saturday at the steps on the Caney Fork:
Water Temp 59 degrees
Water Clear
Water level low
Aquatics Collected:
3% Snails
9% Sow Bugs
70% Scuds
9% Worms
9% Others including leeches, black fly
Date: 10/17/2015The stream survey today was attended by 9 club members:
  1. Gerdes, Pipkin, Ferrero, Eble, Peipon, Bersted, Keeton, Ritter, Spoonamore
We formed 4 survey groups and collected samples from 4 different locations close to the dam at Buffalo Valley Boat Ramp.
The water temp = 54 degrees
Water was clear
No appreciable odor
PH was 7
There appears to be a loss of river bed grass in the middle of the river. Very little other than gravel and small stones remain.

The collection teams found the following:
  1. 25 sow bugs
  2. 13 scuds
  3. 1 ant

After the survey eight of us went to the rest area off the 40 and fished that water until the water came up. We then went back to the steps up by the dam and fished there until about 1:45.
